Driver Evaluation and Training The Driver Evaluation and Training Program provides an objective, comprehensive assessment of a person's ability to drive safely. Occupational therapists who are state-certified driving instructors - and are handicapped endorsed - perform a number of tests to assess functional range of motion, strength, coordination, vision, and reaction time, problem solving ability, safety, decision-making and memory. The therapists also conduct testing with a simulator, and off-road course and an on-the-road course. To participate, you must have an Ohio driver's license and a doctor's prescription.
